Pea soupers

Pea-soupers are fogs that are so thick that seeing through them is difficult even when looking a couple of yards ahead.

A pea-souper came down on London in 1952. 12 thousand people of london   died over a course of 4 days. The pea-soupers were cause by a fogs from the River thames and smoke from coal fires. London had suffered these pea-soupers for centuries. In 1306 Kind Edwards I banned  coal fires to put an end to the pea-spoupers.
